EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

1979-1983 Arts studies at the University of Strasbourg II / Master in Visual Arts „Diplôme de Maîtrise en Arts Plastiques“

2006-09 Sculpture studies at the „Edith Maryon Art School“ in Munzingen/Freiburg (Germany)

 

CONTINUING LEARNING

Life modelling of the human body, etching and lithography at the „Ecole des Arts décoratifs de Strasbourg“ 

Participation in art workshops in Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands and in Italy (Vallemaggia, Carrara & Piemont): Life classes (drawing and modelling), Paperclay and raku-firing, Silkscreen printing, Stone sculpture and Wood sculpture with the chainsaw.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

1984 – 1989 Lycée de Garçons Esch-sur Alzette (secondary school level)

1989/90 – 2005: ISERP/ Uni.lu (Higher Institute of educational sciences in Luxembourg).Visual arts courses and studio practice for students enrolled in a primary school teachers training. Continuing and professional training: advanced art workshops for students and teachers. 

2010 : Tutor at the FLSHASE/ University of Luxembourg. Creation of CAMPUS ART: art workshops for UL students and staff – art projects – setting up of small exhibition. 

Some outstanding pedagogical projects
Stone circles in Hollenfels (L)

Nature Art, one of my favourite topics of research, is perfect for working in collaboration with student groups. We were creating large outdoor installations with stones of the country. The produced stone circles and spirals were the support for a pedagogical project with children.
